It’s springtime and things are beginning to bloom. If you are inspired to start your spring cleaning, here are a couple of recipes to use to make your cleaning easy and natural as well as avoid harsh chemicals.
Air Freshener
1 cup distilled water
2 tablespoons witch hazel
20 drops lemon essential oil
10 drops eucalyptus (any species) essential oil
1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid
Mix essential oils with dishwashing liquid. Mix witch hazel with water and add essential oils/dishwashing liquid to the water and mix well. Pour into a spray bottle.
Carpet Cleaner
2 cups baking soda
30 drops of lavender essential oil
20 drops of cedar (any species) essential oil
Mix essential oils with baking soda. Whisk until there are no lumps. Put in a jar with a lid. Scatter this on carpet and leave for 30-60 minutes. Vacuum. Keep children and pets off the treated carpet.
If you have a diffuser, use any of the following essential oils or a blend of them to clean and freshen the air:
Cedarwood (any species)
Lavender
Lemon
Lime
Grapefruit
Eucalyptus (any species)
Spruce
Pine
Have fun with these and contact me with any questions.
