Aromatherapy Resources
Holistic healing:

I recommend watching the movie, "Heal." Available on Amazon Prime. I don't agree with everything in the movie, but its holistic approach that includes the emotional impact on health is very moving.

Aromatherapy research:
Use their search option to find studies on various essential oils and health conditions. In my last search on their site, I came up with over 33,000 research studies on essential oils and health conditions.

Endangered species:

The International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List: www.iucnredlist.org. A powerful tool to inform and catalyze action for biodiversity conservation and policy change, critical to protecting the natural resources we need to survive. Some essential oil-bearing plants are threatened, endangered, or critically endangered. To save these plants for future generations, it is important that we obtain essential oils of endangered species from suppliers who ethically source their oils and state a commitment to this. You can ask a supplier about their sourcing.

It is possible to source endangered species ethically. CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) regulates this. Many ethical farmers/producers will grow these species in a sustainable way. Your supplier should have a CITES certificate in order to sell endangered species.

Essential oil suppliers:

I do not produce or sell essential oils, but I use several essential oil suppliers. I only use suppliers who offer high quality products, publish their GC/MS reports and have a commitment to source their products ethically. Contact me and I can refer you. Some offer me discounts and will discount any referrals I send to them. Also, I can recommend suppliers who charge moderate prices. There are suppliers who charge more and some less for high quality essential oils and extracts.

Books:

For everyday use, I recommend, Aromatherapy and Essential Oils, Handbook for Everyday Wellness, by Purchon and Cantele. Another great book is The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy, by Worwood. Both of these contain essential oil profiles of some of the most commonly used essential oils and a ton of recipes for many conditions. They are available on Amazon which has the best price I've seen for them. There are many other books that cover the science, safety, use and energetics of essential oils. Contact me for specific books for your interests.

Aromatherapy education:

Aromatherapy education can range from formal certifications to short courses on various subjects. Contact me if you would like a referral to either formal or informal essential oil education. Some schools and trainings are high-quality while others are not so much. There are some aromatherapy educational offerings that I do not recommend due to low quality and misinformation.

Additionally, I am available for making recommendations, answering questions, and giving referrals at no charge. One of my goals as an aromatherapist, is to educate folks on this powerful health field.

Personalized aromatherapy blends/remedies:

I offer personalized aromatherapy blends to folks in the Boulder, Colorado and Central Colorado areas. Inquiries are welcomed.
